In today’s paper edition of Turin based newspaper Tuttosport make a case against Handanovic by analyzing some of the goals that he has conceded in the league this season.
According to the report “Handanovic undoubtedly remains one of the best goalkeepers in the world, but it is also undeniable that some of his performances have determined the results for Inter. During Inter’s 1-0 loss to Sassuolo, it was thanks to Handanovic’s saves that Inter were able to try to make a comeback until the very end, but during the following week’s game against Torino, it was Handanovic’s inexplicable reading on Belotti that caused Inter to concede.

“Finally during the first half against Tottenham, Handanovic was reactive, good with his feet, and parried the shots that he had to; but during the goal he conceded in the second half, he blocked Eriksen’s first shot centrally, which allowed the Dane to get a second attempt which deflected against Miranda and made the shot even more difficult. Handanovic ended up trying to block the ball with his palm, but had he used his first, he might have been able to keep the ball from going in the back of the net.
