Genoa captain and defender, Domenico Criscito appeared on Radio 24’s program, “Tutti Convocati” and had the opportunity to speak about Inter’s match against Tottenham in the first group match of this seasons Champions League where in six minutes, Inter had transformed the game from a loss to a win.

Criscito, who has been close to signing for the Nerazzurri on several occasions stated that: “In my opinion, Italian football is improving. Inter have been missing in Europe for a long time. Everyone has given their best and the victory in Champions League was well deserved.”

Inter found themselves trailing 1-0 to Tottenham with less than 10 minutes remaining of the match. What seemed to be a woeful performance turned into an exciting victory for the Nerazzurri as left back, Kwadwo Asamoah put in a perfect cross to Icardi at the top of the box who had caught a lucky volley.

Minutes later, the savior of Inter and the man who solidified Inter’s spot in Champions League, Matias Vecino buried a header in the dying moments to give Inter their first group stage win.
