Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke to Inter TV post-match after Marcelo Brozovic’s late heroics secured Inter a 1-0 win against Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa.

“We worked hard and insisted on winning this game. We dug deep and found what we needed to. We have thrown away too many points already this season and we just had to win this match,” the Italian said.

Spalletti proceeded to look at each half on its own and set his players the target of raising their level to help boost Inter further up in the league standings in the coming games.

“In the first half of the game we let them dribble too much, without exploiting all the spaces ourselves. We were better in the second half though and created a lot of chances. We have to raise our level though because we are already far behind in the league standings.”
