The day after the important win away at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris against Sampdoria, Inter’s match winner, Croatian international midfielder Marcelo Brozovic gave a brief statement to Italian TV channel SportMediaset.

When asked about his match winning goal and what it means for the remainder of the season, Brozovic stated that: “It was very important for us to win. We made mistakes in the first few games and from now on we have to only win every match.”

Brozovic scored the winner in the 93rd minute of the Serie A clash which turned out to be the only goal of the game after the VAR had disallowed three previous goals, two for Inter and one for Sampdoria.

This late winner meant that Inter took their second win in the Serie A for the season and can take a sigh of relief heading into the weeks fixtures against Fiorentina on Tuesday and Cagliari on Saturday.
