Former Inter manager Claudio Ranieri spoke on Radio Anch’io Lo Sport and stressed the importance of Inter’s past two results against Sampdoria and Tottenham Hotspur.
“I went to see Inter-Tottenham and I must say that the English had played very well, but Sampdoria also played well and lost. The victory in the Champions League and the one on Saturday were great for Inter’s confidence. They are important victories for Inter. Pazza Inter is in good hands with Spalletti in charge.”
Ranieri, who managed Inter during the 2011/12 season, also spoke on the level of Serie A and believes that with continental success it can only further improve.
“I think the level of the league is good, the teams below are closing the gap on Juventus. Juventus did sign Ronaldo and they are doing everything right. To further raise the level of our league we must hope that our teams will do well in Europe.”
