Former Inter and Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey took a look at the contrasting situations of each of his former clubs ahead of the two clubs meeting tonight at San Siro in an interview with RMC Sport.
“Inter are struggling despite the investments they made. They have signed Radja Nainggolan who will no doubt give a helping hand to Luciano Spalletti’s team but they also need to have Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic at 100% because there has been something missing in the final third for them this season.”
The Frenchman was a little bit more upbeat in his evaluation of Fiorentina’s situation.
“I did not expect this start from the Viola, who I follow with great affection. The story of Davide Astori got the whole footballing world involved with the club. During pre-season Fiorentina did not seem complete yet, but now they are amazing. Federico Chiesa can be a true revelation of in Serie A.”
