Inter striker Mauro Icardi, spoke to Sky Sport after the Nerazzurri’s victory against Fiorentina in which he scored the opening goal of the game.

Is it fair to say that Inter is becoming more mature?

“I do not know, but we are working to improve and today we left a lot of ground for our opponents: they had a lot of chances and we have to improve on this, the whole team has to improve on the defensive side: we will continue to work.”

You scored your first goal of the Serie A season today: were you feeling the pressure?

“Social media and newspapers talk a little too much, I have 120 goals behind me, I’m not worried about this: I was calm.”

Contract Renewal?

“Every year it is the same thing…I’m calm, I keep on doing what I need to do. The management and my wife have to talk about it, if there is room to improve the contract it will be done between the parties involved.”
