Inter managed to take all three points and record their first home win in this season’s Serie A after Danilo D’Ambrosio scored the winning goal towards the end of the match. Mauro Icardi broke his goal drought in the Serie A only from the penalty spot just before half time. After the interval Fiorentina dominated proceedings and subsequently Federico Chiesa equalized before D’Ambrosio sealed the win half way through the second half.
Samir Handanovic – 6: Looked shaky in everything he did but when called upon did his job. Blameless for the goal as Skriniar’s deflection wrongfooted him.
Danilo D’Ambrosio – 7: Great first half followed up by a defensively solid second where he scored the winner after a great one-two with Icardi.
Milan Skriniar – 6: Some might say his deflection was unlucky, others might call it a mistake, either way he made up for it by solid defending throughout.
Stefan de Vrij – 6: Another solid performance by the Dutchman who barely puts a foot wrong & seems physcially unable to lose aerial challenges.
Kwadwo Asamoah – 6,5: The most in form Inter player right now continues to play at a high level and to do so consistently. Signing if the season so far.
Matias Vecino – 5,5: Decent first half but a security risk of epic proportions in the second until he was finally brought off in the 68th minute for Keita Balde.
Marcelo Brozovic – 6,5: Inter’s Croatian midfield passing professor continued to give his lecture on how to dictate the tempo and rhythm of a midfield.
Antonio Candreva – 6,5: A solid performance by the former Lazio man as he toyed with Biraghi in the first half. Many good crosses today and always works hard.
Radja Nainggolan – 6: Always puts in a shift in the middle. Ball winner high up the pitch and the player who leads Inter’s high press. Working himself into form.
Ivan Perisic – 5,5: He’s not out of form, he is exhausted. The more Perisic can be rested into form the better it is for Inter, Croatia and the player himself.
Mauro Icardi – 6: Yet another player that looks and plays as if he’s out of form. Despite this he scores one goal and wins an assist for the winner.
Matteo Politano – 5,5: Hardly the impact Spalletti counted on when bringing him on. Looked completely out of depth in terms of passing and positioning.
Keita Balde – 6: Wants to succeed so much it is almost tangible. After Inter’s second goal he relaxes and immediately looks a better player for it.
Roberto Gagliardini – N/A: Came on in the 88th minute and gave Inter a much needed defensive balance in the middle of the pitch. Must start against Cagliari.
Luciano Spalletti – 6.5: Another day another win and yet another unimpressive performance. Has the foresight to see the problems and fix them.
Paolo Mazzoleni – 6: What you want from a referee is consistency and Mazzoleni provided just that. Used the VAR the way it was intended to be used.
Inter – 6: All that should be taken away from this win is just that: that Inter won at home for the first time this season in the Serie A.
