Inter manager Luciano Spalletti reflected upon his sides 2-0 win over Cagliari at San Siro in an interview with broadcaster DAZN post-match.
“I am always satisfied when we win. Since I came to Inter I have always tried to commit every moment of my life to Inter. We are Inter, we have to work and we have been chosen to bring Inter to something important. This is one of the most loved teams in the world and we have a mission. I want to be remembered for the commitment I have made to this club.”
With Lautaro Martinez and Matteo Politano both scoring, Inter now have had 10 different goalscorers and the manager spoke on how important this is to Inter’s success.
“It is one of the most important things and the other is having the chance to have these players available. When you have a bigger squad you can also choose 11 different starters to those who played the previous game.”
Spalletti proceeded to discuss Radja Nainggolan.
“He is good at turning in small spaces and when the opposition play with many men in the middle, he is good at getting the ball with his back turned to the goal and giving life to the attacks.”
Spalletti then spoke on Lautaro, who netted his first competitive goal during the game.
“He has the strength to get the ball under control, turn around and move off and then he knows where he can pass the ball and pounces with force. He has everything, quality, technique and strength. He is also a bit selfish as seen when he tried to finish the two on one but that bit of selfishness doesn’t hurt anyone.”
