Inter are keeping tabs on Cagliari starlet Nicolo Barella but are facing growing competition to sign him according to a report from British newspaper Express.

The Nerazzurri and their city rivals Milan are keen on him from within the Italian peninsula while the report adds Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Everton to the mix of teams interested in signing him.

The report goes on to state that the Italian youth international is valued at €35 million by the Sardinian outfit, a figure that none of the Premier League suitors would have trouble in paying. Moreover, it is understood that Barella would prefer a move to the Premier League over remaining in Italy.

The Premier League contingent could all be prepared to engage in a January transfer window bidding war to secure the talents of the 21-year-old, who is under contract at the Rossoblu through to the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
