Inter’s worst performers in the opening Serie A match against Sassuolo a few weeks back have transformed to the Nerazzurri’s most decisive players, at least against Cagliari according to a report by Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera
Acording to the report: “Inter wins their fourth consecutive win and it was a Saturday night to celebrate at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza with Inter now only being two points behind second placed Napoli. The worst players from the Sassuolo game were decisive this time: A beautiful cross from Dalbert opened up for Lautaro Martinez’s first goal in the Serie A and the Argentinian does not seem to miss fellow countryman and striker Mauro Icardi who is on the bench.”
The newspaper then continued by analyzing the former Racing Avellanada player stating that: “Watching Martinez play and move reminds us of Sergio Agüero. The goal is somewhat of a masterpiece after having scored four during the season preparation. But, he is a striker and it will be hard to play him together with Mauro Icardi. Against Sassuolo in the role as a “hybrid” midfielder, he barely touched the ball. Inter coach Luciano Spalletti still has some time to find a solution, less time to find a fluid way of playing for Inter.”
