Javier Saviola: “Icardi & Lautaro Live To Score Goals”

During an interview with Italian media outlet FcInterNews, former Real Madrid and Barcelona striker Javier Saviola, was asked to share his opinion on his compatriots Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez.

Saviola, who played for Hellas Verona in the Serie A and scored against Inter at the San Siro, stated that: “We are talking about two great attackers. Lautaro is younger, Mauro has more experience as he has played for a long time in the Italian league. In recent times he has demonstrated a goal scoring capacity that is very important. They will do good for Inter. As I said they are two great players who live to score goals and who can also help the team out in the build-up phase as well.”

In conclusion Saviola was asked if he though it would be possible for Inter fans to one day see Leo Messi leave Barcelona to join Inter to which he replied: “I think Leo is identified with Barcelona, it is difficult to imagine him with any other shirt. Then everything can happen in football so Inter’s fans should not lose hope but again I think it would be very difficult.”
