Legendary Italian manager Marcelo Lippi has taken a look at the week ahead for Italy’s Champions League contingent in an interview with Radio Anch’io Lo Sport.

“Tomorrow Ancelotti’s Napoli must make the most of his great experience and quality against Liverpool, one of the best teams in Europe. Although treated with all due respect the matches of Roma and Juventus [against Viktoria Plzen and Young Boys respectively] do not seem that hard. Inter will meanwhile play against a team that is the champions in the Netherlands. They are a very strong team and have very good young players.”

Lippi, who was the manager when Italy won the 2006 World Cup and is currently in charge of the Chinese national team, then spoke on the race for the Serie A title.

“It seems like the race has already ended. The Bianconeri are still too strong for the others even an experienced coach like Ancelotti,” he concluded.
