Inter coach Luciano Spalletti gave an exclusive interview to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven against PSV, kick-off scheduled for 21.00 CET.

The Nerazzurri coach began by analyzing tomorrow’s opponents stating that: “When you analyze another team you can look for if that team has the qualities of when that team’s coach was a player, and here you find all the stubbornness in the middle of the pitch. They fight hard, play with high intensity and do not allow you to think. We will have to be good at exploiting the spaces and moving the ball quickly.”

The former Nerazzurri coach was then asked if resting key players will give Inter an advantage going into this game to which he replied: “It’s definitely an advantage because we know how much energy this game takes away, we have benefited from a muscular point of view because we have rested some players and also because those who replaced them have done so really well.”

“We have to play this match carefully and we have to try to put our individual and collective qualities into it. If you make too many calculations you risk limiting the team’s potential” Spalletti continued.

In conclusion the Nerazzurri coach was asked where he thinks Inter are in terms of development to which he replied: “We are growing and I’m happy about this, if we compare the level of difficulty of the Champions League we must take into account that we were in the fourth pot. We have to make use of the improvements that we have made. This team has some champions in it.”
