Every team that has won their opening two group stage games in the Champions League in the past five years has went on to progress from it, a report from Tuttosport details, ahead of Inter’s match away to PSV Eindhoven where they could win their second match.

Inter won their opening game 2-1 against Tottenham Hotspur and a victory tomorrow night would stand them in good stead for their double header with Barcelona. Barcelona are the favourites to progress from the group and Inter will be hopeful that the Catalans can take points off of Spurs when they meet in order to help them on their way in to the knockout stages.

Matias Vecino again secured Inter a very important victory with a late header – following his heroics on the final day of last season against Lazio – against Spurs and the Turin based newspaper go so far as to say that Vecino has more than repaid the fee invested in him in the summer of 2017. His two late goals have earned Inter no less than €41.5 million, €17.5 million more than what Inter paid Fiorentina to sign him.
