Spalletti Asked Dalic To Not Play Inter Defender Vrsaljko In The Upcoming International Break

During Croatia national team manager Zlatko Dalic’s visit to Inter’s Appiano Gentile training base yesterday, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti requested that Dalic does not use him during the upcoming international break according to a report from Tuttosport.

Vrsaljko is nearing his comeback from an injury lay-off sustained during the last international break and the Nerazzurri are wanting to avoid any risk of him aggravating it.

He is already missing tomorrow’s match away to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League but could make the squad for this weekend’s match with SPAL. Inter’s ultimate goal for Vrsaljko is for him to be 100% for the Milan derby which is the first game back after the upcoming international break.

Vrsaljko, who joined Inter over the summer from Spanish side Atletico Madrid, is included in the World Cup runners-up’s squad for the nations league match with England and international friendly match with Jordan and it remains to be seen whether or not Dalic will grant Spalletti’s wishes.
