Inter captain and match winner Mauro Icardi stopped by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia after the win against PSV in Eindhoven’s Philips Stadion in the Champions League to share his thoughts on the win.

The Nerazzurri captain was asked about his goal and overall performance to to which he replied: “I look to do the best I can for the team and to always help out in every moment. We knew that we would suffer towards the end and I looked to help out my teammates in the best way possible, defending our goal together with them.”

In conclusion Icardi was asked about being recalled into the starting line-up after being rested to which he replied: “Our coach does his job, it is the way things should be.”

The former Barcelona and Sampdoria striker scored his second goal in as many Champions League matches against PSV to cap off an all round great performance.
