Corriere dello Sport have examined the complex situation that would be Giuseppe Marotta arriving at Inter upon his departure from Juventus.
“There is talk already of a millionaire offer already being on the table from Inter owners Suning and just like his desire to get revenge on Juventus, it is a very extreme situation at the moment. Doing so in a few years time instead could remove some of the bitterness but there is the chance that he could be made president of the league too.”
News that Marotta would be leaving his position broke over the weekend and came as a huge surprise. The Italian, who Napoli and Roma have also been linked with, hinted at being pushed out the club while some reports suggest that the break-up came as a result of him wanting to adopt a less aggressive philosophy at the club to the one that Andrea Agnelli is wanting.
