Hugo Lloris analyses the situation in the Champions League after the first two matches of the group stage, which sees Inter and Barcelona joint top in Group B with Six points and Tottenham and Psv on Zero.
“We have to be realistic, Inter won and that has put in us a negative situation – Lloris states in an interview with ESPN – We must be calm, focus on the Premier League and when we return to the Champions League we will need two great performances against PSV to give us the best chance of qualifying. There is an agreement that Barcelona is the favourite to qualify from the group, so we have to compete with Inter and PSV.”
Lloris looks back on the match against the Nerazzurri. “Losing the first match put us in a difficult situation, especially considering we were winning, we lost 2-1, but it’s football and we have to react like a team and be ready for the next match against PSV.”
The Goalkeeper is back in the squad after the issues that arose after being convicted of drink-driving. “Some things happen in private life but the important thing is to stay focused on my work, it’s not easy to come back to play in these games without having played in the others, but I tried to do my best, the important thing is to be back on the pitch and get back to the best level possible.”
