Former Manchester City and current Olympiakos midfielder Yaya Toure spoke at the pre-match press conference before his sides Europa League clash with Milan which the Rossoneri went on to win 3-1.
As reported on GianlucaDiMarzio.com, the Ivorian was quizzed by the press about the rumors that he was close to joining the Nerazzurri in the past stating that: “Yes, in fact there were only final details remaining for me to join the club but at the last minute everything went wrong. City changed their mind and opposed the transfer.”
The player was then questioned about his relationship with his former boss Roberto Mancini and then Inter manager who wanted to bring him to the San Siro stating that: “For me, Mancini is a special person. Even though we have not worked together in recent years, he often still calls me after my games. He is an individual for whom I have great respect.”
