Inter striker and club captain Mauro Icardi spoke with Inter TV after his two goals helped Inter toward a 2-1 win over SPAL at the Stadio Paolo Mazza.
“It is another victory for us, we suffered a bit during the game but it was a deserved victory. We knew it was not going to be easy for us as we had a draw here last year but this time though we succeeded.”
Club action is on hold now the international break is underway and the first game back after it can not get much bigger than the Milan derby and Icardi revealed that he and his Nerazzurri teammates are hopeful that they can prolong their winning running that now sits at six consecutive victories after the win over SPAL.
“We hope that we can get three points against Milan. Last year things went well against them so let’s see how it goes this year.”
