Former Inter defender Nicolas Burdisso has announced his decision to retire from professional football having been unable to find a club since leaving Torino in the summer through his social media channels.
“I’ve done everything I dreamed of as a child. Today, 19 years after my debut, the time has come to end my adventure as a footballer. Thank you to all of those who have accompanied me on this journey; to God, my family, my teammates and teams, my Coaches and, above all, the fans. Football was my tool to be happy every day and to improve as a person, and I’ll continue to be happy. I’m proud and satisfied, I’ve done everything I dreamed of as a child.”
Burdisso spent five years at Inter between 2004 and 2009, winning four Scudetto, one Coppa Italia and one Supercoppa in his time with the Nerazzurri.
