According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, Genoa will try their utmost to ignore offers that arrive for in-form striker Krzysztof Piatek amid alleged interest from some top clubs including Inter and Juventus.

The Polish striker arrived at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris as a complete unknown to most for €4 million but his scoring this season has put his name on the map and now he is worth some €40 million. Piatek has scored 13 goals in eight appearances across all competitions and has scored in every game he has played this term.

Unlike with Mattia Perin, who they sold at a cut-price in the summer due to a short contract, Genoa will not have the same problem with the 23-year-old with him under contract through until the summer of 2022.

With interest only likely to grow if he keeps up his form, an auction could well ensue in the summer transfer window to secure his services.
