Asked to comment on the words of Massimo Moratti on his absence of resentment towards Calciopoli, Paolo Bonolis, a well-known TV host and an Inter fan, had his say about the position of the former Nerazzurri patron on one of the ugliest pages in the history of the Serie A in an interview with RMC Sport.

Bonolis stated that: “These are very normal words, everyone manages their own grudges as they think best some things are unclear, time softens the impact, but there will always remain the scar for what has happened: Juve paid little compared to the size of the crime, but it’s over now. If it’s finished inside him, it’s over. Whilst some scars will always remain, you cannot constantly suffer for these things.”

“Time heals many things and It seems that the fans must look at each other out of necessity. They are just the opponents, you can mock them but they are to be always respected. I have nothing against Juventus fans, you cannot be eternally angry about something” Bonolis continued.

On the candidacy of Moratti for the FIGC, which was proposed by Andrea Agnelli, Bonolis adds: “The choice would fall on a person of great depth, not only in football but also in the Italian economy. It was a nice choice, careful, so I would agree with it.”

Bonolis was also asked about the possibility of Juventus accomplishing the treble this season: “They have a good squad and a team that can make it. The Inter that won the Triplete was perfect in that moment, even though I wish Juventus luck in their attempt to match it.”
