Inter’s Dutch international central defender Stefan de Vrij is currently on international duty with the Netherlands where he spoke exclusively to Fox Sports about all things Inter.
The former Lazio defender was asked about Inter coach Spalletti’s rotation system regarding the central defenders stating that: “These choices are ones which aren’t up to me, I can only continue to dedicate myself and accept the choices made whilst remaining as positive as possible and concentrate my hardest when I am called upon.”
De Vrij continued: “We are four central defenders at Inter, including Miranda who was the captain of Brazil until recently. The coach’s idea is to keep everyone in as great form and shape as possible and that the substitutes in the squad are also very good, this is why everyone plays.”
It seems the Dutch national team are also using this system as De Vrij is being touted to not start the upcoming fixture but will be rested according to Dutch media.
