The second part to Piero Ausilio’s interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport has been published and in this segment the Inter sporting director spoke on the conditions of Croatian duo Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic and full back Danilo D’Ambrosio.

“The good thing is that these guys stayed at Appiano Gentile to work over the international break. Brozovic is working to recover from injury. As for Vrsaljko we had great cooperation with Croatia. He is just back from a knee problem and has remained in Appiano Gentile to help him recover fully. Meanwhile D’Ambrosio has an inflammation in the knee but nothing serious, we hope to have him available for the derby.”

Ausilio then spoke on whether Inter manager Luciano Spalletti will receive any gifts.

“We are doing everything to reach the next round of the Champions League and the biggest gift would be for us to still be playing in March in such an important competition. The coach himself does not need a gift. He is very happy here and has recently extended the contract for another three years and it is not excluded that it can go even longer because we are doing well.”

He concluded the interview by discussing whether Inter will respond to their city rivals Milan’s latest transfer moves.

“We are still scouting as we always are and if we can improve the team in 2019 we will be ready to do so. The management is very open in this regard.”
