Former Inter owner and president Massimo Moratti spoke with Calciomercato.com on the sidelines of the event dedicated to Inter’s Triplete winning side and was first asked if he fears Juventus can replicate the feat.

“It is normal that a record is made to be beaten or equalled, it can happen, but it has not happened yet. For the time being, in the league nobody is at their level,” he said.

Moratti then spoke on Inter strikers Lautaro Martinez and Mauro Icardi.

“I would personally like to see Lautaro on the pitch more often. He is a player who intrigues me a lot. Icardi can decide the derby. He is someone who can decide any match.”

There have been many rumours on the possibility of Giuseppe Marotta becoming a director at the Nerazzurri and the former owner shared his thoughts on this.

“It depends on the current management of Inter. For sure he is a great professional with great experience.”

He concluded the interview by asking if he could see any similarities between Triplete winning manager Jose Mourinho and current manager Luciano Spalletti.

“I do not know, they have different methods and characters to one another.”
