Inter club captain Mauro Icardi has spoken ahead of his Argentina taking on Brazil in an international friendly in the coming days.

“I am doing very well, this time I arrived in good shape. I have been train fully with the group something which did not happen in the last call-up. We are trying to create something for the future for Argentina,” he said in an interview with the AFA official website.

Icardi then spoke on the upcoming match.

“Argentina-Brazil is never a friendly. There is a lot of enthusiasm, in the last international’s we played against Colombia, a great team by all means but playing against Brazil means a lot more. Beyond this, it is not a friendly on the pitch, it will never be. The team is getting ready to look for something important, something that is needed for this new era.”

The 25-year-old also spoke on the Albiceleste’s friendly win over Iraq.

“It was not an easy game, they were a team that attacked and defended well and tried to fight back. The team managed to do what the coach asks and once they went ahead, everything become easier.”
