Corriere dello Sport continue to report on the number of players that Inter are monitoring in anticipation for an improvement in the midfield next season. In addition to Luka Modric, Frenkie De Jong, and Nicolo Barella, Inter are also monitoring many other profiles.

Lucas Tousart and Tanguy Ndombele of Lyon are being monitored, along with Jordan Veretout from Fiorentina. Another player that Inter are keeping a close eye on is the youngster from Brescia, Sandro Tonali and Exequiel Palacios from River Plate. Palacios is 20-years-old and has a €15 million release clause.

It is clear that Inter are trying to reinvigorate the midfield by adding more quality and depth to it. It appears that the midfield will be the Nerazzurri’s main focus during the Summer. With the ending of the settlement agreement, and the possibility of any big sales happening, Inter could actually potentially spend some real money on improving the team and making another leap in quality.
