Inter are not only interested in Real Madrid’ Luka Modric, they intend to strengthen their midfield with quality, and at the top of the Nerazzurri’s midfield wish list is the Ajax and Dutch national team central midfielder Frenkie de Jong according to Corriere dello Sport.

“The obstacle that Inter would have to overcome would be the €60 million price tag that Ajax have put on the midfielder. Barcelona, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are all currently keeping a close eye on the youngster. Does that make him unattainable for Inter? Probably yes, but if Inter were to make a big sale this Summer, then anything could happen.”

de Jong has shown instances of his talent this season as he has made 10 appearances for Ajax and has consistently made a positive impact for the Dutch side. The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the top midfield prospects in world football and is being tipped for a big future.
