Corriere dello Sport continue to discuss Inter’s midfield options after already discussing Luka Modric and Frenkie de Jong. This time they talk about Nicolo Barella, a player who has been under Piero Ausilio’s radar for a long time.

“Competition for the Italian midfielder is now increasing. Teams from the Premier League have been scouting the player and trying to determine his worth. AC Milan is also in the running for the player’s signature. The player would cost a little less than Frenkie de Jong (€40 million euros for Barella and €60 million for de Jong).

“Nicolo Barella has been performing well and had an excellent debut for the Italian national team and these positive signs could further disprove Giulini’s claims about not selling him. The player has a lot of potential and plenty of room to continue to grow along with his tactical flexibility. Barella shares the same agent as Nainggolan in Alessandro Beltrami.”
