Genoa sporting director Giorgio Perinetti has confirmed the interest of several clubs in Grifone striker Krzysztof Piatek in an interview with Tuttosport.

“In recent times at the Marassi we have accredited many scouts and directors of German and Spanish clubs. All the big Serie A teams have also made enquiries but as President Preziosi said until the end of June at least, the Genoa fans will be able to enjoy him.

“We do not have a price for him, we still have to measure the growth margins of him. “The price will reflect the various offers we receive, as well the competition.”

Perinetti was also asked if Piatek’s form has come as a surprise to himself and the rest of the Genoa management team.

“Not exactly. We realised very early on that he was a real striker. He’s started in a great way, but we’re still at the start. All the goals he’s scored haven’t come by chance, but he should be left alone. He’s only 23 years old and he has significant room for growth.”
