Carlos Pablo, the president of one of Lautaro Martinez’s former clubs Liniers, has spoken on the ongoing difficulty when it comes to striking a deal over the payment due to them from Racing Club following the 21-year-old’s transfer to Inter in the summer.
“The difference we have with Racing is about one million euros, if we do not agree, of course, we will go to court over it. It makes no sense to go to trial with Racing. I often speak with Lautaro, on Saturday I was with his father and I do not want to involve him in this matter,” he admitted in an interview with Argentine news outlet Closs Continental.
“We appreciate all the effort he has made to help the situation. We know he was also worried about the payment of we are due, but he ultimately did not have to do anything there, our lawyers have spoken and again I say we do not want to involve him in this problem.”
