There are a series of possibilities for the future of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report from Tuttosport.
The Brazilian striker is currently on loan with Santos in his homeland and that loan expires on December 31. The loan has proved worthwhile with the 22-year-old striker rekindling the form that led Inter to buy him back in 2016. Over the course of the loan, he has made 43 appearances across all competitions and scored 19 goals in the process.
If Inter were to sell him, it is not too difficult to imagine they could get upwards of €20 million for his services, a good price for him, particularly when it comes to his hit against the budget.
It is of course possible that Inter could opt to renew the loan with the Peixe – whose president has shown interest in doing but has admitted to being aware how difficult it would be.
Even if the loan isn’t extended with Santos, Inter may look to loan him out elsewhere within Italy or Inter manager Luciano Spalletti could look to utilise him instead.
