Milan legend Mauro Tassotti has spoken on the current state of the Rossoneri ahead of Sunday’s Milan derby.

“Today Milan is in the good hands of Gattuso. The Rossoneri are approaching the derby with a thousand difficulties because many players will arrive on Thursday after representing their national teams. Being such an important game, one must prepare themselves from a mental point of view,” Tassotti, who spent 17 years as a player with the club and many more in non-playing roles, said to Radio Anch’io Lo Sport.

“The teams are very close in terms of levels. It can be a good game because Milan are more technical whereas Inter are more physical. This can facilitate the show that is the derby. The result will also depend on what will happen with the national teams, we will see the conditions of how certain players will return. It is not easy when you have two extra games in your legs before the match.”
