Milan legend Franco Baresi has spoken to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport in view of this Sunday’s derby match between his beloved Rossoneri and Inter.

“It will be a nice, balanced derby but it will always depend on the approaches the team’s take to the match but it should be a good challenge,” Baresi, who spent his entire 20-year playing career with the Diavolo said.

Baresi proceeded to discuss the strikers of each time, Inter’s Mauro Icardi and Milan’s Gonzalo Higuain.

“Icardi and Higuain are two good and extraordinary strikers. For their teams they do important things and I hope that our team is better on the night.”

Baresi concluded the interview by praising Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso who has been criticised in recent weeks.

“I think he is showing that he has managed to convey his ideas to the team. He knows what Milan is about and is managing to instil his concepts in to the players.”
