Matteo Politano has made an impact at Inter that few were expecting as he is well on his way to repaying the decision to bring him in over more established or exciting names.

In addition to goals and assists, Politano has the ability to hurt opponents with his dribbling, has precision crosses and can deliver good set-pieces. Stefan de Vrij was the first benefactor of his set-piece deliveries in the 2-2 draw with Torino. Then he set up Radja Nainggolan’s first goal for Inter against Bologna. Politano has performed consistently and even when coming off the bench he is capable of making a difference. Up next for Inter is Milan in the derby on Sunday. Politano has scored twice against them recently but has the unfortunate record of three defeats in his last four games against them, a trend he will be looking to reverse as he looks to get himself back in to the Italian national team.
