FC Barcelona Director Guillermo Amor, was interviewed by Gazzetta TV ahead of the Champions League group stage clash at the Camp Nou next week on Wednesday between the Catalan giants and Inter.

Amor was asked about Barcelona’s form running into the match to which he replied: “There are still a few days left and we have an important match first in the league at home against Sevilla. Then we will host Inter and Real Madrid, two matches at home which could be useful in strengthening our position. The win at Wembley against Tottenham did us good in the way it was won as it eliminated any doubts people could have had, as we came from a couple of games in the league where we had failed and which made people doubt us.”

Amor then focused on Barcelona’s next opponents in the Champions League stating that: “The match against Inter will be very difficult because they are a great team. However, we are playing at home and we need to be strong. We need to try to win points then we will see what happens when we go to Milano for the return match.”

In conclusion Amor was asked about Mauro Icardi and his history at the Blaugrana stating that: “Last year at Inter, Rafinha played, a great player. Our players go to many important Italian clubs and Inter is one of these. We will see what happens, we hope that Icardi wont be that inspired against us.”
