Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa has addressed the persistent transfer rumours concerning himself and reaffirmed his commitment to La Viola in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.
“I am just thinking about proving my value all the time those numbers that have been mentioned seem a bit exaggerated. My only priority is to show, week after week, who Federico Chiesa is. Now my focus is all on the match with Cagliari. I am happy here at Fiorentina now. Again, I will say, I am only thinking about the next game.”
Chiesa also spoke on the Italian national team.
“This is a young Italy and there is still a long way to go. My priority is just to be ready. I do not feel like a starter or a pillar and I just want to prove that I deserve to be with the Azzurri. I will work to make sure I can celebrate the next call-up. Mancini is now starting a new project. He has always told us to play calmly and freely, without pressure.”
