In an interview with Bordeaux’s official homepage, Inter-owned French winger Yann Karamoh spoke about his new role with the Ligue-1 club and his goals for the future.

Yann, how are you adapting to your new club?

“Very well. I am happy with this new adventure. I have met all the players and am getting along well with them.”

Why did you choose to come to Bordeaux?

The transfer was finalized in the final few minutes of the transfer window. I already knew that Bordeaux was a great club in France, and a place that will allow me to showcase my talents. The choice was easy for me, especially since the club is also participating in the Europa League.”

Which player would you say is your inspiration?

“There are so many, but I can pick two: the Brazilians Robinho and Neymar.”

Tell us about your goal against Nantes…

“I hit the ball well, and it took an incredible trajectory. It was amazing to hear the response of the fans.”

What are your goals for the season?

“I want to play as much as possible, have the best possible stats and make a real difference here for Bordeaux. This can be useful for me, for the Girondins and for Inter. For me the important thing is to improve my goal scoring. To the fans, I want to say that I will do my best to bring them joy this season – maybe with third place.”
