Gazzetta dello Sport have looked at ways that Inter manager Luciano Spalletti could outfox his opposite number at Milan in Gennaro Gattuso during this weekend’s Milan derby.
The first thing Spalletti must ensure is that Milan danger man Suso is nullified. Suso has a history for playing his best against Inter and Kwadwo Asamoah will be the one primarily tasked with dealing with the Spaniard at San Siro.
Secondly, Spalletti must try and have his side take full advantage of set piece situations. With several big players who can get on the end of them they can cause almost any defence worldwide problems in these situations as a result.
Thirdly, when playing out from the back, Inter must look to get the ball to Marcelo Brozovic who can either set Ivan Perisic off with a ball down the wing or keep it central with Radja Nainggolan who can burst forward and go himself or pass out wide. Milan aware of Brozovic’s capabilities could set out to mark him tightly therefore the onus will be open Stefan de Vrij to get the ball rolling.
