Former Inter striker Ruben Sosa was interviewed by Italian media outlet RMC Sport ahead of the Derby della Madonnina this Sunday at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district when the Nerazzurri host AC Milan in the Serie A with kick-off scheduled for 20.30 CET.

The Uruguayan Inter fan favorite began by talking about the match stating that: “The Milano Derby is a match that differs entirely from all other matches. Whoever uses their head more will win the match, if we put the desire to win in the background for a moment.”

Sosa was asked the mandatory question who he prefers out of Mauro Icardi and Gonzalo Higuain to which he replied: “I choose Inter’s striker out of the two, he is the prototype of the perfect modern striker. I think he is more decisive than Higuain, who is a great player. They are two very different types of players but I am very impressed with Icardi’s leadership and ability to lift the team in difficult moments.”

In conclusion Sosa compared the two coaches as well stating that: “Gattuso and Spalletti are two very different coaches. The former lives the match a lot, he has conserved a lot from his playing days whilst the Inter coach has a more strategic vision of football and is less instinctive.”
