Inter coach Luciano Spalletti stopped by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A clash at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district when the Nerazzurri host AC Milan.

The Inter tactician began by talking how he wants his team to approach the derby della Madonnina stating that: “We must go and try to win this game. We can say that the derby is the most accurate thermometer to indicate how high our Inter fever is. We have never lost our order and balance, these are basic things. Now we just have to show what we have seen in the previous games.”

The former Roma coach continued by talking about the squad he has at his disposal this year in comparison to last season arguing that: “In my opinion we have grown a lot since last season. Then it is clear that last year there was a period full of wins that created some important expectations, but our manner of how we work has always been correct. When you create the right mentality the right character is born. I will never stop with asking my players to give their best, mainly because I am demanding by nature, but also because they have the possibilities to be able to give me back everything they have.”

In conclusion Spalletti was asked about tomorrow’s opponents AC Milan stating that: “They have qualities both in defence and in the final third of the pitch, so if you let them play in our half of the pitch it is clear that you are going to have problems. We’ll have to be good at going up and pressing them high up, trying to stop them and allow them as little time as possible in front of our penalty area.”
