Inter legend Dejan Stankovic was interviewed by Inter TV ahead of the Derby della Madonnina tomorrow night at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

The former Nerazzurri midfielder began by talking his own experiences as an Inter player preparing for the match stating that: “You prepare for the derby just like you prepare for all the other matches, only with a little ‘more attention’ because the derby means a lot for each player, for the fans, so you have to try to win it. When I arrived I scored in derby directly from a corner even if it went badly, but the derby we won 4-0 with Mourinho was spectacular, an unforgettable football lesson.”

Stankovic then continued by highlighting Radja Nainggolan’s importance against AC Milan stating that: “Nainggolan is a machine of war, he makes himself felt, he drags the team, he must try, as Boskov used to say, whoever shoots wont make a mistake.”

“Now Milan are waking up, they have found balance and grit, it will be a beautiful match, a show, but whoever will be on the pitch knows that that it will be very difficult because every episode can decide the match. What is important is to have the right approach and take advantage of the occasions that present themselves” Deki analyzed.

In conclusion Stankovic was asked to describe the feeling he had as a player when he took to the pitch at the San Siro ahead of a derby to which he replied: “When you put your foot on the pitch and you hear the roar from the San Siro your adrenaline goes up a thousand levels, and you only hope that the game starts immediately because you want to start playing.”
