Inter’s Ivan Perisic Essential For Luciano Spalletti’s Tactics

The wings are going to be very important in tomorrow’s Derby as Milano based Gazzetta dello Sport focused their attention on in today’s paper edition of the newspaper, paying particular attention to Inter winger Ivan Perisic.

According to the report: “The Croatian is one of the very few players that has been ever present for Inter since the start of the season. Last year Ivan ended the season as the player with the second highest number of crosses with 199, so far he is at 43, behind Candreva who had 204. The wingers are very important for Spalletti’s tactics and he has always spoken well of Perisic, as he did during the Summer where he said: “I’m not surprised by Mourinho’s words, but we are going to hold him [Perisic] tight. He will be our Ronaldo, he has the physical strength and speed and he’s the only one that has these kinds of characteristics.”

For now, Perisic has had an inconsistent start to the season, being tired from reaching the Final of the FIFA World Cup. Last season he finished with 11 goals and 8 assists and Ivan is going to be working hard to get those kinds of numbers again.
