Inter’s Uruguayan international midfielder Matias Vecino took part in the training session held yesterday with the rest of the squad Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia reports.

According to the report, it seems that the former Fiorentina midfielder’s injury he sustained whilst on international duty with Uruguay has healed up nicely and he is available for selection in Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, kick-off scheduled for 20.30 CET.

This will come as great news for Inter coach Luciano Spalletti who could still opt to go for Italian international Roberto Gagliardini given that the Nerazzurri will travel to Spain for the Champions League group stage fixture against FC Barcelona this coming Wednesday night.

This due to the fact that the former Atalanta player has not been included in the Nerazzurri’s Champions League squad due to the terms in the Settlement Agreement with UEFA regarding Inter’s violations of the Financial Fair Play Rules.

Furthermore, Sky Sport reports that Spalletti is also yet to decide whether to start Danilo D’Ambrosio or Sime Vrsaljko in the right side of defence.

In conclusion Sky Sport Italia report that Spalletti could decide to surprise everyone by starting with Keita Balde although in yesterday’s training session Matteo Politano was played to the right of Mauro Icardi up front.
