Radja Nainggolan will be the sixth Belgian to play for Inter in the Milano derby. Before him, Inter have had: Enzo Scifo, Ludo Coeck, Ibrahim Maaroufi, Senna Miangue and Gaby Mudingayi whilst Nainggolan is looking to be the first Belgian to score for Inter during the derby.

Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports on the importance of this game for Nainggolan, Inter, and all of the fans: “Nainggolan will try with all his strength because, even though he has only been here for three months, he has already realized how important this match is for the fans. We are not at the level of the Roman derby between Roma and Lazio, but he understands that tomorrow evening’s game is about more than just three points. Nainggolan could have been playing tomorrow’s derby wearing a Milan shirt if the meetings with Galliani in 2015 had gone differently.”

Nainggolan has scored in Bologna and Eindhoven as well as his disallowed goal against Sampdoria but he is still looking to score at the San Siro. Radja will also have the task of marking Biglia, another player with whom he is familiar from the Rome derby.
