The Vice President of Brazilian outfit Cruziero, Itair Machado, gave an exclusive interview to Barzilian radio station Radio 98FM where he made an important declaration regarding Inter owned Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa who is currently out on loan with Santos.
Machado was asked if the rumors were true that Cruzeiro had tried to sign Gabigol back in January to which he replied: “Gabigol’s agent is a friend, he is also the agent of Lucas Moura, the first player I tried to sign but his wife was pregnant and Lucas did not want to leave Paris. We tried to sign Gabigol already in January 2018. I also met with his father but there were some financial problems, investing in this moment was very difficult for us.”
“However, Gabigol is a player that Cruzeiro have in our sights, without a doubt. We want to reinforce our squad but we do not want to feed the rumor mill at all. But sure, our objective is to reinforce a group that is already very strong” Machado concluded.
