Inter and Milan’s owners are worth over €100 billion put together ahead of Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina, according to Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri’s owners Suning are said to be responsible for €70 billion of that total, with figures taken from China’s National Federation of Industry and Commerce, while the Elliott hedge fund in charge of the Rossoneri provides the other €30 billion.

“They’re not exactly identical business models,” the Turin-based paper writes.

“On the one hand, you have the revenue stream of a multinational commerce group with a presence in various sectors; on the other, you have the assets which have been loaned to a group of investors.

“At some stage Elliott will need to monetise by selling Milan to another buyer, but tonight’s match remains a derby between two highly important economic entities – the second and the third richest owners in Serie A after Juventus.

“Inter and Milan look like the only clubs who could challenge Juventus for financial power in the short-to-medium term.”
