Only once in the last 29 years did the Milano derby end in a 0-0 draw when Inter were the home team in the Serie A and that occurred on April 19th 2015.

This is a clear sign that boredom is something that should not be expected from the game tonight as Milano based Gazzetta dello Sport emphasizes in today’s paper edition of the newspaper reporting that: “In the other 28 games, the overall number of goals was 86, with an average of 2.97 per game.”

The Gazzetta then proceeds to report some random facts and stats: “Sandro Mazzola opened the scoring for Inter after just 13 seconds from the start of the match on February 24, 1963, in a 1-1 draw. The best Inter win at home dates to April 2, 1967, where Inter proceeded to win with a 4-0 scoreline with goals from Cappellini, Facchetti, Suarez, and Domenghini. Overall there have been four Inter hat-tricks during the derbies, with the latest one coming recently from Mauro Icardi on October 15, 2017 in Inter’s 3-2 win. Before Icardi, it was Diego Milito. Could tonight be another Argentinian Night? Higuain? Icardi? Or even Lautaro?”
